Al-Arabi volleyball team qualified for the Asian semi-finals
The first Arab volleyball team qualified for the semi-finals of the Asian Volleyball Club Championship, which is currently being held in the Thai city of Nakhon Ratchasima until next Friday, after beating the Uzbek Ajamak team by three sets without a response with results (25-12 and 25- 20 and 25-12), during the meeting that brought the two teams together at the conclusion of the preliminary round matches of the Asian Championship, which witnessed the participation of 10 clubs divided into two groups. In the same group, the Iranian team Foolad Sarjan defeated the Thai team Diamond Food by three sets to one with results (19-25, 23-25, 25-23, 23-25). Thus, the Al-Arabi team raised its score to 9 points in second place, behind the Iranian Foolad Sarjan team, which topped the first group standings with the full score with 12 points. It is scheduled to meet Al-Arabi, the second group of the second group, with the team of the leaders of the first group, the Kazakh team Burevestnik Almaty, while the Iranian team Foolad Sarjan, the leader of the second group, will meet the second team of the first group, the Thai team Nakhon Ratchasima. On the following day, the consolation rounds matches will be held, with the seventh, eighth, and fifth place meeting with the sixth, in addition to the meeting for the third and fourth places, and the final match. The Al-Arabi team had achieved three victories in the second group, as it defeated the Uzbek Ajamak team in three sets without a response (25-12, 25-20 and 25-12), and the Thai Diamond Food team, with a score of three without a response, with results (25- 23, 25-17, 25-20), and the Philippine team Rebisco, with a score of three games without a response, with results (25-19, 25-15, 25-19).
