February 27 draw for Qatar Total Tennis Championship
The Qatar Tennis Federation announced that it will hold the draw for the tournament by default on Saturday, February 27th. The media and tennis enthusiasts can follow the draw ceremony through the Qatar Tennis Federation’s Facebook and Instagram account and participate in the tournament, which totals US$530,565, the top 10 in the world after the withdrawal of The American Category 4 Sofia Kinny after suffering a recent health condition as part of his concern for the safety of all participants in the Qatar Total Tennis Championship 2021.
The tournament, which will be held on the courts of Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex from 1 to 6 March 2021, will see the participation of 32 players, including 4 players, who qualify through the preliminary rounds in the singles competitions in addition to 16 teams in the doubles competitions. “I am delighted to welcome everyone to Doha and in another edition of the Qatar Total Open tennis tournament, ahead of Australian top-ranked Ashley Barty, Romanian 2014 champion and world number two Simona Halep, and fifth-ranked Ukraine’s Elena Svitolina,” said Tarek Zainal, General Secretary of the Qatar Tennis Federation.
