Haaland announces his absence from the Norway national team matches
Norway striker Erling Haaland has said he will not be fit to play against Turkey and Montenegro next week in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, as he is still recovering from a thigh injury. “Unfortunately, I will not be ready to play for the national team,” Haaland, who missed his last three matches for his club Borussia Dortmund in all competitions due to injury, wrote on Twitter. Good luck to Norway.
Norway will visit Turkey on the eighth of October, before hosting Montenegro three days later.
Haaland, who has scored 68 goals in 67 games with Dortmund so far, missed his team’s last two matches in the German League, and also missed the victory over Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League last week.
