Inter Milan wins the Italian League title

Inter Milan won its first title since 2010 thanks to its only opponent, Atalanta, who drew 1-1 with Sassuolo today in the 34th stage of the Italian Football League.
Atalanta was the only team capable of postponing Inter’s crowning of the first title since winning the Premier League, Domestic Cup and the European Champions League in 2010, led by Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, after Nerazzuri’s victory on Saturday against Croton 2-0.
Coach Antonio Conte’s side was 14 points clear of Atalanta after Saturday’s win, and it was necessary for the latter to stumble by a draw or defeat against Sassuolo in order to clinch the title four stages before the end of the season.
Inter succeeded in breaking Juventus’ monopoly on the title for nine consecutive seasons, as it was ahead of Atalanta by 13 points, with the advantage of two direct confrontations also between the two teams.
