Levante sacks coach due to poor results

Spanish football club Levante announced the dismissal of Paco Lopez as coach of the team after he failed to lead him to any victory in his first eight league matches this season.

The 1-0 defeat against Real Mallorca was the straw that broke the camel’s back for the 54-year-old Lopez, who has been coaching the team since March 2018.

Levante club stated that Lopez left his position on Sunday evening, with the team in the eighteenth place in the league with only four points.

It should be noted that Lopez became the first coach to leave his position in the Spanish League this season. Levante, who play their next match against Getafe after the international break, have not announced the team’s new coach
