Mali and Tunisia join African Cup of Nations qualifiers
Mali and Tunisia to the Nations of Africa and the Pharaohs on the corner of qualifying for football on Tuesday after Algeria champion 2019 and their bridesmaid Senegal, who secured the ascent in the last two days. Tunisia is heading to the 2022 finals in Cameroon for the 15th time in a row.
Egypt and Morocco also came close to qualifying after strong performances abroad on Tuesday.
Hakim Zeyash played a big role again to lead Morocco to a 2-0 victory over the Central African Republic and coach Wahid Khalilić’s team is one point away from qualifying in the fifth set.
Mali secured one of the first or second place in Group A qualifiers after a 2-1 away victory over Namibia, where Sekou Quetta and Moussa Doumbia shook the net in the first half, while Tunisia’s 1-1 draw with hosts Tanzania was enough to ensure first or second place in Group D
