Manchester United reach agreement with Dortmund to buy Sancho
Manchester United Football Club has reached a preliminary agreement with German club Borussia Dortmund to sign England striker Jadon Sancho, according to press reports on Wednesday. And (Sky Sports) news reported on Wednesday that details of the payment structure have been finalized in a deal worth £73m with personal terms already agreed upon. And the network indicated that Dortmund asked at the beginning of the negotiations for an amount exceeding 85 million pounds, which is less than the value requested by the German club officials during the negotiations that took place between the two parties last summer, which amounted to 108 million pounds. And the network revealed that Sancho will officially join United after England’s participation in the European Nations Cup (Euro 2020), provided that he passes a medical examination. Sancho’s contract in Dortmund runs until the summer of 2023 and the German team does not want to risk entering the last year of the player’s current contract. The Bundesliga giant is actively looking for alternatives, with PSV Eindhoven’s Doniel Mallin and Noni Madwicki under the microscope, according to Sky Sports. Manchester City, through which Sancho joined Dortmund, reserves its right to obtain a percentage of the deal in accordance with the terms of the contract that took place with the German club, and is preparing to achieve sudden cash gains from its arch-neighbour, Manchester United, in the event the deal continues. Sancho, 21, came from Watford academy before joining City in 2015, but moved to Dortmund in 2017 after turning down a new contract offer with the heavenly club. Sancho quickly established himself as a fixture at Dortmund, scoring 50 goals in 137 appearances for the German club.
