“Marca” newspaper determines the closest to Zidane’s succession at Real Madrid

The Spanish newspaper “Marca” revealed in a report, today, Tuesday, that the Italian Carlo Ancelotti, coach of the English club, Everton, is currently top of the list of candidates to coach Real Madrid. In the past few hours, it was reported that Real Madrid was interested in returning 61-year-old Ancelotti to succeed Zinedine Zidane. According to the Spanish newspaper, Ancelotti is currently top of the list of candidates to coach Real Madrid, which also includes his compatriot Antonio Conte, Argentine Mauricio Pochettino, and the Spaniards Raul Gonzalez and Xabi Alonso. The newspaper confirmed that Real Madrid knows how difficult it is to negotiate with Paris Saint-Germain to obtain Pochettino, and believes that negotiating with Everton will be easier. And the newspaper pointed out that Everton has already begun to search for a replacement for Ancelotti, despite the continuation of his contract with the club. And “Marca” stated in a report earlier that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had made an initial contact with Ancelotti to find out his opinion about the possibility of training the royal team again. Ancelotti worked as a coach for Real Madrid from 2013 to 2015, and succeeded in leading the team towards one of its most important titles, the “tenth” European Champions League, in addition to the King’s Cup, the Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
