Mbappe’s departure to Madrid paves the way for Ronaldo to move to Paris
With the conclusion of most of the major football competitions in Europe, leaks began regarding the upcoming club deals, most notably related to the two stars, Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, and French Kylian Mbappe. A report by the Italian newspaper, La Gazzetta dello Sport, expected that Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid would support the possibility of Ronaldo leaving Juventus and joining Paris Saint-Germain. The report added that Mbappe is a “priority” for the new coach of the Royal Club, Carlo Ancelotti, despite the huge amount that the Spanish team will have to secure for the deal. On the other hand, there are leaks that talk about Paris Saint-Germain’s willingness to include Ronaldo as a replacement for Mbappe, amid reports of the “Don”‘s desire to leave Juventus after a difficult season that the Italian team went through. And according to the ESPN sports website, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri did not rule out Ronaldo’s departure from the team, a year before the expiration of his contract. The Italian press launched a scathing attack on Ronaldo after Juventus were knocked out of the 16th round of the Champions League by Porto. Sports reports suggest that the Juventus administration agreed to sell Ronaldo, given the large salary he receives, amounting to 32 million euros annually, which prevents the conclusion of major deals to strengthen the team’s ranks.
