Mourinho makes an offer to Ronaldo
The new coach of Roma, Jose Mourinho, has offered his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo to join his team if he leaves Juventus. “SportMediaset” reported that Mourinho had contacted Ronaldo, amid rumors of his departure from Juventus, and confirmed that the Portuguese coach had suggested to his compatriot the option to join Roma. The source claimed that the 36-year-old Ronaldo may prefer to stay in Italy if he decides to leave Juventus, due to the tax system in place in this country that appeals to the “Don”. Ronaldo had joined Juventus in the summer of 2018, and he has a contract that extends until the summer of 2022. Juventus finished fourth in the Italian Serie A last season, and hard-won their place in the UEFA Champions League, while Roma finished seventh. It should be noted that Ronaldo was crowned the top scorer in the Italian league last season, becoming the first player in history to achieve this achievement in three of the five major leagues (the English Premier League, the Spanish League, and the Italian League).
