Neuer misses Germany national team training

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer missed the first training of the German national football team before the scheduled matches against Romania and North Macedonia in the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, 35, focused today on recovering in the hotel where the team is staying, after participating in the match that Bayern lost to Eintracht Frankfurt 1-2. And coach Hansi Flick led the team’s training, with the participation of 22 players, at the training ground of the second division team, Hamburg. Despite Neuer’s absence from training, there are no doubts about his participation in the match against Romania or the match against North Macedonia, scheduled for three days later. The German national team tops Group X in the qualifiers and has a chance to qualify directly for the World Cup finals this month, but that depends on the results of other matches in the group.
