Paris Saint-Germain kidnaps the Liverpool star from Barcelona
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano said on Monday evening that the Dutchman, Jorginho Wijnaldum, player of the Liverpool team, signed his transfer contracts to the French team, Paris Saint-Germain. Wijnaldum ended up with Liverpool this summer, and negotiations to renew the contract between the two parties failed, to join the Parisian team on a free transfer deal. Romano said that Wijnaldum has already signed for Paris Saint-Germain, and that the official announcement of the deal will be made in the coming hours. Paris will set the date for the player to undergo traditional medical examinations in preparation for his presentation as a new player to the media. Romano indicated that Wijnaldum will remain in Paris under the contract until the summer of 2024, knowing that he changed his mind about moving to Barcelona only yesterday. Barcelona was strongly associated with seeking to include the Dutch player for free this summer, and he negotiated with him for several months, but the Parisian team entered the deal line and raised the financial offer on the player’s table. According to several press reports, Paris Saint-Germain offered Vinaldo twice the salary that Barcelona offered him, so the Dutch midfielder preferred to go to the French capital instead of “Camp Nou”.
