Prince of Qatar: Russia raised the ceiling of organizing the World Cup during the 2018 World Cup
The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, said during his participation in the Petersburg International Economic Forum today, Friday, that Russia raised the ceiling of organizing the World Cup during its successful hosting of the 2018 World Cup. The Emir of Qatar stated that the high level of the World Cup in Russia will be a serious incentive, stressing that Qatar will benefit from the Russian experience in hosting the World Cup. Al-Thani indicated that the preparations for the World Cup in Qatar are going according to plan and that any delay in preparing the facilities is unacceptable. He said, “We are now preparing for this big event. We consider that any delay in preparing the facilities is unacceptable, and we believe that this event should be held on time.” Fatima Al-Nuaimi, Communications Director of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy organizing the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, confirmed yesterday in an interview with RT to benefit from Russia’s successful experience in hosting the 2018 World Cup, and to cooperate with the Organizing Committee for the World Cup in Russia, where he was present from the Supreme Committee. During the Russian World Cup, Qatari projects and legacy have more than 180 delegates in all sectors, whether transportation, organization, stadiums and other operational matters. Qatar has become the first Arab country and in the Middle East to obtain the right to host the FIFA World Cup Final, which will be held for the first time in the winter season, from November 21 to December 18, 2022, in eight Qatari stadiums.
