Qatar beach volleyball team wins bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 Olympics

The Qatari men’s beach volleyball team won the bronze medal in the Olympic Games currently being held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, after beating Latvia by two sets to zero in the match for third place. Qatari duo Ahmed Tejan and Sherif Younes beat Latvian duo Martins Blavinch and Edgars Tox by (21/12 and 21/18), to win Al-Adaam his first Olympic medal in beach volleyball. The Qatari duo presented a wonderful journey in the current session, as they topped their group after winning all four of their confrontations against Switzerland, Italy and the United States “1” and “2”. And after he knocked out the American team in the round of sixteen by winning it 2-1, then beating the Italian duo 2-0 in the quarter-finals, Al-Adaam lost in the semi-finals to the Russian Olympic Committee duo by two straight sets.
