Qatar displays models of 2022 World Cup stadiums at the Petersburg international ecnomic form
The pavilion of Qatar, which is participating as a guest of honor in this economic event, held from 2 to 5 June 2021, was inaugurated today, Wednesday, at the Petersburg International Economic Forum. The Qatar pavilion witnessed activities on the topic of innovation and sports, and models of the stadiums for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar were displayed. This comes as part of efforts to promote the preparations and steps taken by Qatar on the path to hosting the World Cup, the first of its kind in the Middle East. Tomorrow, Thursday, the dialogue session “Russia – Qatar” will be devoted to the experience of preparing for the world and European championships in football and its legacy, and the participants will exchange practical experiences in this field.
Qatar has become the first Arab country and in the Middle East to obtain the right to host the FIFA World Cup Final, which will be held for the first time in the winter season, from November 21 to December 18, 2022, in eight Qatari stadiums.
