Qatar reach Dushanbe for Afghan clash

Asian champions Qatar wrapped their training at home and yesterday reached Dushanbe, Tajikistan, where they will meet Afghanistan in their away Group E clash at the 2022 World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup joint qualifying tomorrow.

The two teams will square off at Central Republican Stadium, with the game set to kick off at 5 PM, Qatar time.

Having thrashed the same opponents 6-0 in their home tie in September after Almoez Ali’s hat-trick, Felix Sanchez’s Qatar will start as favorites against Afghanistan, who are third in the group with four points.
