Qatar’s win to host 2030 Asian Games is a new Qatari sporting achievement
Thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Sheikh Jawaan bin Hamad Al Thani and his wonderful young team in the Qatar Olympic Committee, a new Qatari athlete has won qatar hosting the 2030 Asian Games and the Doha 2030 File Committee for their efforts, which have been a source of pride for us. We also thank our brothers in our beloved Amman for their good hosting.
After receiving the highest number of votes in today’s vote on the sidelines of the 39th General Assembly of the Asian Olympic Council in Muscat, Qatar has won and the Asian Games are the largest supervised by the Asian Olympic Council, the second largest multi-sport event in the world after the Summer Olympics.
The 39th General Assembly of the Asian Olympic Council was attended by H.E. Sheikh Jawaan bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Olympic Committee, Chairman of the Doha 2030 File Committee, His Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairman of qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, and H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. More than 10,000 athletes from 45 Asian countries participated.
